There is something "dangerous" about this piece--the juxtaposition of the soft, organic shapes of the flowers with the sharp, metallic figures in the background makes me uncomfortable. What is she thinking? Is she self-destructive? The light streaming through the unseen window gives me hope--perhaps she is just playfully mischievous...
I think I sort of created her to look delicate, yet strong enough. Like, being aware and carefree at the same time. Just like how things go when we take a short afternoon nap in the garden or in a comfy chair under the trees, the kind of sleep we fall in isn't just as deep as what we have when we sleep in our bedrooms at night. She's like lying in between that cracks of time. Almost in another world, but she still can feel the weights of reality.
I'm not sure if I explained it clearly (obviously I'm not very good with words), but I appreciate the way you take note of such details that not everyone can actually see. Thank you.
