The Awakening

Hi! It's been a while! (Same old intro, I need to stop doing this. :| )

First, yes, I know that her right hand is sort of longer as compared to the correct anatomical proportions, but I intended to make it appear like that to maintain the overall balance of the painting... and some other personal reasons. :D

Inspired by:
This photo from tumblr: [link] where I got the inspiration for part of my subject's clothes and pose. I had to change the face and basically everything else, though.

Right now, this is all what my camera could afford to take, which is only 90% of what it originally looks like. The details are sharper in real life. I'll try to upload a better photo later when I finally have the time. :D

I noticed the length of the hand and liked it. I haven't felt as into a piece of art as this one in a while. I love the style of your painting, the almost paper mache-like layering is uncommon and I like the things that inspire your works! I listened to some of Her Space Holiday
